Join us in a conversation on the need for systems change to eliminate the threat of climate change. Father Jeremy Tobin will lead a discussion on the groundbreaking encyclical issued by Pope Francis on the interrelationship between human productive activity, capitalism, and the environment.
We will also discuss the 10th commemorative anniversary of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, and how this catastrophe remains our starkest reminder that climate change is real, is happening now, and is and will have a disproportionate impact on Black and working class communities.
We will also discuss the work Cooperation Jackson is doing to build a "Road from Jackson to Paris" to engage the essential COP21 Climate Negotiations and our ongoing work to make Jackson a Sustainable City.
