Introducing the People's Network for Land and Liberation

The People’s Network for Land and Liberation was initiated by Cooperation Jackson in 2020. It was established to deepen the shared practice of its members towards the development of cooperatives, community land trusts, mutual aid and emergency relief networks, community production centers, and other practices of solidarity, common regeneration, and collective care. Our aim is to fortify the people’s movements for decolonization, self-determination, and economic democracy to enable the development of an ecologically regenerative society.

Since its founding, the mission of the People’s Network for Land and Liberation has grown and grown extensively. We now embrace a deeper sense of land and liberation, one that centers land “because we know that being in right relationship with land we return to the balance that existed before enclosure, extraction and capitalism”.

The People’s Network for Land and Liberation presently consists of six members or nodes. These members include: Community Movement Builders, Cooperation Jackson, Cooperation Vermont, INCITE Focus/Lake County MerryMakers, Native Roots Network, and Wellspring Cooperative Corporation.

We encourage you to follow our work and the development of this Network as it grows, expands, and builds a web of solidarity and democratic confederalism. You can continue to follow our growth and progress at our new website.

Stay tuned!
