International solidarity and exchange are central components of the principles and program of Cooperation Jackson. On Thursday, January 12th we will be doing a critical report back on two recent international exchanges several of our members have engaged in.
In October, one of the core anchors of Freedom Farms Cooperative, Andrew Jerome Campbell, went to Brazil to study political economy and organizing with the MST - Movimento dos Trabalhadores Sem Terra.
From December 11th - 18th, Kali Akuno, brandon king, Sacajawea Hall, Rukia Lumumba and Chokwe Antar Lumumba went to Barcelona, Spain to study the intersections between radical governance, participatory democracy, solidarity economics, and digital fabrication being experimented with in Barcelona.
Join us for a report back on these trips and exchanges and collectively think through how what was experienced and strengthen our work here in Jackson.
