COVID-10 Movement Considerations - Monday, March 23, 2020

COVID-19 Movement Considerations - Monday, March 23, 2020 Some considerations we would like everyone to consider in our collective interest. As this pandemic worsens, we need to start preparing ourselves for the worse, mentally and materially. This is a short take, but we believe it offers some concrete things to consider given how this pandemic is unfolding.

  1. This pandemic is going to last at least through May, and likely much longer for reasons cited below.
  2. The medical infrastructure throughout the empire is going to be overrun by early April. This will include a shortage of essential supplies (masks, sanitizer, ventilators, oxygen, etc.) AND doctors, nurses, and other technicians who will be pushed to the brink and suffer heavy infection rates themselves, which will make them unavailable to work. Thus escalating the crisis as is occurring in parts of Italy.
  3. The supply chain for food and other essential commodity goods could start grinding to a halt by early April as more “essential” workers in these areas become infected due to lack of adequate safety measures, recall that Trump has exploited the crisis to eliminate those that existed (fulfilling a long sought after right-wing policy objective), insufficient protective gear, and overwork. We should expect sick outs and wildcats to become commonplace as workers start making individual and collective decisions to ensure their survival.
  4. This will likely prompt the Trump regime to approve the Defense Production Act in combination with the suspension of the law of Posse Comitatus, which will allow the US armed forces to act domestically to “maintain order”, “sustain production”, and “protect the economy”. At that point, all hell could break loose. We hope the future described in these 4 points does not come to pass, as in reality the small and fractured revolutionary forces that exist inside this empire are no where near prepared as we should be to deal with these outcomes and their potential consequences. But, we best start getting ready. Get organized, stock up, make contingency plans, and fight for the future.
